LinkedIn Recommendations as a Gratitude Practice

There is a common mindfulness practice of writing a gratitude list. This serves to recenter your thinking on the good things and to focus on humility. Now take this thinking and turn it towards your team. Make a list of your teammates. Sit and meditate on your interactions and observations. Write 3 things you are grateful that they did or brought to the table. If you ever had the feeling of "thank GOD they're here", what was the action that gave you that thought. Write it down. Polish it up. Now go put some work context around it. Now you've got a sincere recommendation. Go post it on their LinkedIn. I'm confident they will appreciate it. You might even consider adding this practice to your project-level retrospectives. I know I will.
